Adult Basic Education

Adult Basic Education is an opportunity for adults looking to acquire or improve their math, reading, grammar and writing skills for work, training, college or personal enrichment. Classes are free and participants can set their own pace and schedule!
Big Lake Community Ed is part of the WEST Adult Basic Education consortium, which provides ABE services to communities across Wright County and surrounding areas. While Monticello is the fiscal host, WEST ABE is a partnerships between 17 local districts.
In Big Lake, we offer:
- General Education Diploma (GED) Prep classes (testing available in Monticello)
- English as a Second Language (ESL) classes
